Step 1. Plug Xiaomi into the Computer

1. Go to "Settings" option to enter "About Phone"
2. Tap "Build number" for several times until getting a note "You are under developer mode"/"You are now a developer"
3. Back to "Settings" to click "Developer options"
4. Tick the box in front of "USB debugging"

Step 2. Detect and Scan for Lost Photos
When the plug-in Xiaomi is detected and identified, you will see the interface as below. By default, all types of content that the software can restore are selected. If you just want to scan for photos, uncheck the boxes next to other data and leave the one besides "Gallery".

Step 3. Allow Data Analysis on Xiaomi
Before the software is able to scan your Android smartphone, you should tap "Allow" on the device screen to confirm the request for the authority to scan your device.

Step 4. Preview and Recover Photos on Xiaomi
After the scanning, you can click the "Gallery" option in the left column. All the thumbnails of pictures on your Xiaomi will be displayed. The names of deleted ones will be in red letters. Tick those you want to get back and hit the "Recover" button.
